FASAT/EIM
A Legacy of Insurance Compensation Innovation
The Foundation
FASAT’s origins trace back to December 1994, beginning with an innovative Paradox‑based data model designed to streamline insurance compensation administration. In January 1995, the initial development team—John and Steve—built a Visual Basic 3 proof‑of‑concept “Agency” system, demonstrating the feasibility of automating field administration. This early prototype was presented to Gerling Global, generating interest from a major industry player and validating the vision.
Building on that momentum, the full production system was developed using Visual Basic 4 with Remote Data Objects (RDO) and SQL Server 6.5. This architecture became the foundation for decades of successful FASAT and EIM deployments across the insurance sector.
